The FAN7382MX is an integrated high-voltage, high-speed gate-driver IC (integrated circuit) designed primarily for driving MOSFETs in high-frequency switching applications such as inverter systems for motor drives, power supplies, and UPS (uninterruptible power supplies). It operates from a high-voltage supply range of up to 600V and can withstand peak currents of up to 2.5A. Key features include two complementary outputs for driving the high-side and low-side MOSFETs, adaptive shoot-through protection to prevent both MOSFETs from conducting simultaneously, and an undervoltage lockout (UVLO) function for enhanced system reliability. The FAN7382MX also incorporates an internal bootstrap diode for high-side gate-drive voltage generation, reducing external component count and simplifying design. Additionally, it offers fast propagation delay times and precise timing characteristics, making it suitable for high-efficiency, high-frequency power conversion applications.
